Job summary

Kingston Bagpuize is seeking a UK-remote DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for .NET applications. The role emphasizes security, reliability, and cost efficiency, with active use of AI coding assistants to accelerate automation and deployment tasks.

You will collaborate with the Head of Technology Delivery and the broader engineering team to provision and operate the Azure environment, ensure observability, and implement robust security

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps/Cloud Engineering
• Strong hands-on with Azure services
• Experience with Terraform and Bicep for IaC
• Experience hosting .NET apps in production
• Solid understanding of Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Storage Queues/Tables, Cosmos DB
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants to speed up scripting and pipeline development
• Security-conscious mindset to implement controls
• Collaborative and pragmatic with clear communication of infrastructure concepts

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure using Bicep and Terraform
• Build and maintain hosting environments for .NET applications
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines across environments
• Monitor performance, cost, and security and address risks proactively
• Support incident response and disaster recovery activities
• Enforce secure coding standards and enable threat detection and vulnerability management
• Collaborate with development teams to align on deployment best practices
