Job summary

SSA Digital Recruitment in London (Putney, hybrid) seeks an experienced Azure Data Platform Manager to lead development, delivery and optimisation of enterprise-scale Azure data solutions across multiple markets.

The role combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder management and project delivery capabilities to drive data strategy, governance, and platform improvements across ADF, Databricks, Data Lake and related services.

Qualifications

Proven experience managing Azure Data Platforms within a complex enterprise environment.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, SQL, and Synapse.
Experience with Azure PaaS services, monitoring, and platform optimisation.
CI/CD and Azure DevOps experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the Azure Data Platform strategy, roadmap, and ongoing development.
Design and deliver scalable Azure-based data solutions for BI and analytics.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
Drive data platform enhancements across Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and related services.
Ensure platforms are secure, reliable, and cost‑effective with governance.
Oversee data integration, transformation, and reporting projects.
Manage platform performance, monitoring, and incident response.
Lead data-related projects, migrations, and upgrades.
Manage third‑party vendors and external delivery partners.
Promote best practices across data architecture, DevOps, and CI/CD.
Work with Architecture, Security, and Data teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
Support budgeting and technology investment planning.
