Job summary

Livestock Information Ltd is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines using a modern Azure stack (Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data products and ensure data quality and security across pipelines.

The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a fully remote working setup and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Python for data engineering and analytics.
Strong proficiency in SQL (T-SQL dialect).
Hands-on experience with Azure data storage and processing tools.
Experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
Solid data modelling concepts and schema design.

Responsibilities

Design and implement Azure data storage solutions with scalable schemas.
Build and maintain data pipelines for data integration and processing using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
Ensure data quality through testing and validation across pipelines.
Tune and monitor data processing to improve performance and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data products.
Adhere to data security and privacy requirements (GDPR).
Work with large datasets and perform data analysis.
Stay up-to-date with Azure features and best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned by line manager.
