Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence seeks a Data Engineer / Data Analyst with active SC clearance to join a high-profile programme delivering secure data capabilities within a government environment. The role focuses on designing, building and optimising Azure-based data solutions and providing insights to key stakeholders.

Hybrid working in South West London (2-3 days on site) with a 6-month contract and up to £570 per day Inside IR35, starting September 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience on Microsoft Azure Data Platform (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, SQL).
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines in Azure.
• Develop and optimise data models, ETL/ELT processes and reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements and translate into data solutions.
• Analyse datasets and provide insights to support decision making.
• Ensure data quality, governance and best practices across the data estate.
• Work in an Agile delivery environment with cross-functional teams.
