Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a Data Specialist to advance enterprise data and analytics solutions across Azure Data Factory, Synapse and Power BI. You will design scalable data pipelines, build data models and support governance and GDPR compliance in an Agile team.

You’ll work with project teams, business units and technical squads, applying SQL, Python and ETL/ELT techniques to deliver insights and dashboards that drive decision making. Flexible/remote working is available.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in a Data Specialist or Data Engineering role.
• Lead capacity experience (2+ years).
• Strong hands-on with Azure Data Factory and Synapse.
• Power BI, SQL, Python and ETL/ELT proficiency.
• Experience designing data warehouses and data architectures.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data governance best practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD and build/release processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models.
• Build ETL/ELT processes integrating multiple source systems.
• Develop solutions using Azure Data Factory, Synapse and Power BI.
• Analyse datasets to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Create dashboards and reports to support decision making.
• Optimise data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate in an Agile delivery environment.
• Ensure data governance and GDPR compliance.
