Job summary

QA is offering an entry-level IT apprenticeship designed to build a solid foundation in IT infrastructure. You will gain hands-on experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, networking, and operating systems while supporting NHS and private healthcare tech deployments.

The role includes configuring systems, basic troubleshooting, and preparing medical hardware for dispatch, under guided mentoring. 35 hours weekly, with structured training and progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial technical support under supervision for IT systems.
• Document basic procedures, fixes, and configurations.
• Assist in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Azure cloud services.
• Support firewall and VPN configurations.
• Assist in networking and virtualisation troubleshooting.
• Support VMware ESXi maintenance tasks.
• Assist with Windows Server and desktop environments.
• Help administer Active Directory/Azure Entra ID and MFA setups.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 administration and permissions.
• Device provisioning and testing of medical hardware devices.
• Quality control of hardware products.
• Maintain accurate device records.
