Job summary

MARS Recruitment is partnering with a global consultancy to recruit a Cloud Engineer in Abingdon. The role drives the cloud delivery engine, building, deploying and maintaining infrastructure using a code-first approach with Bicep, PowerShell and Azure CLI.

The ideal candidate will have solid Azure experience, SC-900 certification, IaC with Bicep, and scripting proficiency. The package includes up to £55,000 per year plus a bonus, with 1 day onsite per week and a strong benefits scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Industry-standard security practices and ISO 27001/Cyber Essentials Plus awareness.
• Infrastructure-as-code using Bicep for deploying Azure resources.
• Scripting with PowerShell and Azure CLI for automation and ops tasks.
• Experience deploying and managing compute, storage, and networking in Azure.
• Security vulnerability management and remediation.
• Experience with Windows Server and SQL Server administration.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure following code-first and automation-first principles.
• Ensure reliable, secure cloud operations at scale across internal and client-facing projects.
• Work with Azure, Bicep, PowerShell and Azure CLI to implement and manage resources.
• Collaborate with ITSM and security teams to ensure compliance and incident response.
