Job summary

Hanson Lee is partnering with a London-based insurer to hire an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer. Hybrid working arrangement available, with a focus on designing, deploying and maintaining secure Azure infrastructure at scale.

The role emphasizes IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM), Azure DevOps CI/CD, data platform collaboration (Databricks), automation with PowerShell/Python, and strong security-by-design practices in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering and migrating Microsoft Azure platform and apps.
• Background in insurance, financial services or regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, security, IAM.
• IaC experience with Terraform, Bicep or ARM.
• Azure DevOps / CI-CD pipeline delivery and support.
• Scripting skills with PowerShell and Python.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and related cloud tooling.
• Experience supporting SQL platforms or cloud data workloads.

Responsibilities

• Designing, deploying and maintaining secure, scalable Azure infrastructure using IaC.
• Enabling CI/CD and release automation through Azure DevOps for cloud-native hosting, APIs and containerised workloads.
• Partnering with Data teams on cloud ingestion, storage, analytics and BI infrastructure (Azure Fabric and/or Databricks).
• Building automation with PowerShell/Python to reduce manual overhead.
• Implementing monitoring, logging, backup, DR and resilience practices.
• Embedding security-by-design and coordinating with Cyber Security on posture, vulnerabilities and compliance.
