Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the United Kingdom is seeking an Automation Engineer to deliver multi-organizational integration and end-to-end process automation, including an enterprise data warehouse with MDM/ODS and historic data. You will blend software development with automation to optimize systems and build them from scratch.

You will lead engagements with stakeholders, set technical direction, and design, develop and test automation tasks using Azure Logic Apps, Functions, SQL and System Center

Qualifications

• Azure cloud services: Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions and Azure SQL.
• PowerShell and T-SQL expertise.
• Experience with Microsoft System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH) and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with REST API and SOAP/XML; DevOps with Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework Core.
• Power BI knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support our engineers, automation architects and analysts on initiatives, ensuring the optimal delivery architecture is applied throughout ongoing and future projects.
• As a staff engineer, hold a strategic understanding of company priorities and make technical decisions to solve business problems.
• Lead on engagements with various stakeholders, including business leaders and the product and data teams, for deep, complex or high-risk technical projects, controlling the communication around them and supporting their infrastructure needs.
• Provide context and technical direction, contribute towards technical specifications and help document processes.
• Design, develop, simulate and test the automation and integration tasks, leveraging the enterprise-scale integration tools in the Azure tech stack (including Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions and Azure SQL) and Microsoft System Center Orchestrator.
• Create and maintain optimal integration solutions, including data integration architecture, and support our current integrations.
• Manage, review, monitor and report on the status of the services that provide automation and integration services for the organisation.
• Act as the escalation point for all associated incidents to the service.
• Stay current with industry trends and developments, evaluating new technologies and implementing them where required.
• Plan and implement technology upgrades, maintenance and fixes.
