Job Opportunity: Senior Finance Analyst at AWS Public Sector

Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Sales, Marketing, and Global Services Finance team! We seek an entrepreneurial, analytical, and creative Senior Finance Analyst to be a key member of our AWS Public Sector finance team. AWS Public Sector is a rapidly growing division within Amazon, pioneering innovation and supporting impactful projects across government, education, and non-profit sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Act as a financial business partner to select leaders within the Public Sector, developing financial plans, rationalizing investments, and ensuring long-term business performance.
2. Manage financial rhythms including headcount and budget control, annual operating plans, forecasting, month-end reporting, variance analysis, and providing analytical support to senior stakeholders.
3. Develop and refine financial models for new business initiatives to assess the financial impact of large-scale investments.
4. Collaborate across Sales, Finance, and Operations to deliver results that benefit customers.

This role requires a self-starter with strong financial modeling skills, advanced Excel abilities, problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field
• Financial Professional Qualification - ACA / CA / CIMA
• Relevant work experience with increasing responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA / CFA / CPA qualifications in lieu of ACA / CA / CIMA
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Analytical mindset with a passion for metrics and understanding the big picture
• Pragmatic business judgment to drive results
• Bias for action, ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel, data mining, and reporting tools like Tableau
• Comfort with ambiguity and autonomous problem-solving
