About the role

We are looking to hire an AWS Platform Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team, which emphasises a ‘DevSecOps’ skillset and has the following objectives:

• Platform Engineering solutions i.e. a self-service means for our application engineers to leverage cloud services through automation while following standards and best practice
• Secure SDLC CI/CD toolchain along with integrated quality and security gates
• CyberSecurity monitoring and controls

In practice the tools and technologies used on a daily basis include: AWS/CLI, Python & Boto3, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins & Groovy.

This is a full-time role and hybrid working is standard. We are looking for candidates who are willing to be in the London office on a weekly basis for one or two days of in-person collaboration.

The project portfolio for 2025 is varied. Key goals include:

• Pivot to product-aligned deployment pipelines
• Another successful ISO27001 audit; further secure our platform
• Automate security vulnerability management
• Establish a Platform Engineering culture; clarify responsibilities
• Standardise Disaster Recovery across all key workloads

Requirements

Essential experience (7 years industry, minimum)

• AWS infrastructure familiarity covering a majority of:
• VPC / VPN
• Route 53
• IAM
• AWS Organisations
• S3 - Storage Tiers, Lifecycles
• API Gateway
• ECS
• EC2
• AWS Lambda
• Infrastructure-as-Code projects using Terraform
• CI/CD pipeline configuration experience: GitHub Actions, Jenkins
• Container orchestration - K8S, ECS, Docker

Beneficial experience

• Familiarity SIEM solutions, and Security Incident Management
• CyberSecurity awareness, certification
• Coaching and/or mentoring of junior colleagues
