Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced AWS Migration Architect to lead end-to-end migration design across infrastructure and applications. You will run discovery exercises, assess current environments, dependencies and risks, and translate findings into migration wave plans.

You will design target state architectures on AWS, guide security, governance and Well-Architected reviews, and support execution with MGN, DMS and Application Migration Service.

Qualifications

• Proven track record driving AWS migration waves from design to execution.
• Strong AWS infra experience: VPC design, EC2, networking, storage.
• Strong application experience including dependencies and integration points.
• Hands-on discovery experience is essential for the role.
• Experience across multiple migration waves in a programme.
• Know-how of AWS migration tooling: MGN, DMS, Application Discovery Service, Migration Hub.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of AWS migration solutions.
• Run discovery exercises to assess current state and risks.
• Translate discovery findings into migration designs and wave plans.
• Design target state architectures on AWS (compute, storage, networking, security).
• Support migration execution using AWS MGN, DMS, App Migration Service.
• Produce architecture docs for governance and sign-off.
• Coordinate with security, change and transition teams on Well Architected requirements.
