Job summary

LA International is seeking an AWS Java Full Stack Developer for a 6 Month contract in London. The role is hybrid with up to 2 days on-site per week and open to Edinburgh. Daily rate £375-£425 via Umbrella.

You will refactor on-prem Java and Angular applications into AWS cloud-native microservices, deploy on EKS/ECS, and build CI/CD pipelines with Docker, Kubernetes, Git/Jenkins. Experience in banking domain projects is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java 11+/17 and REST API development.
• Hands-on Angular experience and cloud migration/refactoring work.
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-native microservices.
• Proven CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Git/Jenkins/GitLab practices.
• Banking domain projects experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Refactor and modernize on-premise Java & Angular apps into AWS cloud-native microservices.
• Deploy and manage apps on AWS services (EKS/ECS, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins/GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Support Agile delivery, code reviews, troubleshooting and production releases.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins/GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Support Agile delivery, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production releases.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in Java 11+/17, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST API development.
• Hands-on expertise in Angular
• Experience with AWS services including EKS/ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins/GitLab, and DevOps practices.
• Proven experience in application migration, refactoring, deployment automation, and banking domain projects.
