Job summary

Sure Exec Search is seeking an AWS-focused FinOps professional to join our client’s team in a customer-facing cloud optimisation role in London. You’ll work directly with customers to understand AWS usage, where cloud spend comes from and how to improve it without compromising performance.

With strong AWS knowledge and a commercial mindset, you will develop budgets, forecasts and spend models, propose Savings Plans and RI strategies, and present findings to technical teams and senior

Qualifications

• Strong AWS background in a customer-facing role.
• Experience in FinOps or cloud cost management preferred.
• Ability to explain complex AWS data to customers.
• Experience with cloud governance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyse AWS environments, usage and billing data to identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Work with customers to understand drivers behind AWS expenditure.
• Recommend optimisation strategies, including Savings Plans and Reserved Instances.
• Develop customer budgets, forecasts and spend models.
• Monitor expenditure and usage trends for anomalies and overspend.
• Support cloud financial governance including tagging and cost allocation.
• Use AWS-native tools and third-party platforms for cost reporting.
• Produce clear optimisation plans and support implementation.
• Present findings to technical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align cost optimisation with performance.
• Build trusted relationships as a key contact for AWS cost advice.
