Job summary

Capgemini seeks an AWS Solution Architect in London to design scalable cloud-native solutions for finance clients, focusing on integration and event-driven patterns. You will guide cross-functional teams, drive AI-enabled delivery thinking, and shape future-ready architectures in AWS.

Hybrid work model combining offices, client sites, and home, with emphasis on engineering excellence, SRE practices, and secure, high-performing services.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services and cloud-native architectures.
  • Proficient in Java and Spring Boot for application development and enhancements.
  • Experience with IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation and automation tools.
  • Proven track record delivering Cloud Migration and Modernisation initiatives.
  • Hands-on Kubernetes experience, preferably Amazon EKS, and DevOps practices.

This role is ideal for a hands-on architect who is passionate about designing scalable, cloud-native solutions and helping clients solve complex business challenges through modern integration and event-driven architectures. Working as a trusted advisor, you will consult with purpose, continuously evolve your expertise, and help architect tomorrow's solutions while contributing to a future-ready, AI-aware workforce. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver measurable outcomes, drive innovation, and create lasting value for our clientsHybrid working:The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.Key Responsibilities:Design and deliver scalable cloud-native solutions that meet business, operational, and integration requirements.Lead the definition of solution architectures that support reliable, secure, and high-performing services.Build and enhance serverless processing capabilities to enable efficient handling of business-critical data and events.Create robust API and service integration solutions that support seamless data exchange across enterprise platforms.Design and implement event-driven architectures that enable responsive, resilient, and loosely coupled systems.Define data storage and persistence approaches that balance scalability, performance, and maintainability.Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solution designs.Promote engineering excellence through architecture governance, design best practices, and continuous improvement.Support delivery teams in resolving complex technical challenges and ensuring successful solution outcomes.Champion innovation, continuous learning, and awareness of AI-enabled approaches that improve delivery effectiveness and help build a future-ready workforce .Required Skill:Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services, including ECS, EKS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, S3, API Gateway, and VPC.Proficient in Java and Spring Boot, with the ability to develop, support, troubleshoot, and implement application enhancements.Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar automation tools.Proven experience delivering Cloud Migration and Modernisation initiatives within enterprise environments.Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS.Strong DevOps background with experience designing, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).Demonstrated experience in automating build, test, deployment, and release management processes.Solid understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, including observability, monitoring, resilience, availability, incident management, and operational support.Strong troubleshooting and production support skills across cloud infrastructure and application environments.Ability to independently deliver development and enhancement work, implement new features, and support end-to-end solutions in AWS-based ecosystems.Experience with system performance optimisation, security best practices, and operational excellence in cloud-native environments.Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder communication, and collaboration skills.We are a Disability Confident Employer:Capgemini is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 2) under the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.
