Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Cloud Native DevOps Engineer (AWS) to design, build and operate secure, scalable AWS-based infrastructure across hybrid UK environments. You will implement IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation, automate CI/CD pipelines and monitor performance with observability best practices.

In this role you’ll work in an Agile setup, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to securing cloud workloads while continually improving deployment reliability.

Qualifications

  • Experience deploying AWS cloud infrastructure in secure environments.
  • Strong IaC knowledge with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Hands-on CI/CD experience with GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for building, automating, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure while ensuring compliance with security standards.Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.## **Your role**• Design, build, and manage AWS environments with a focus on automation, scalability, and security. • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. • Implement CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous integration and continuous deployment for mission-critical applications. • Monitor system performance, availability, and security, implementing observability best practices. • Work in an Agile environment, engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver iterative improvements.You can bring your whole self to work. We have built an inclusive and welcoming environment, for everyone.## **Your skills and experience**Essential: • Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS in secure environments. • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi. • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD. • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes. • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation. • Understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, security groups. • Experience with monitoring and logging solutions, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or AWS CloudWatch. • Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and best practices for securing cloud workloads. • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and optimize cloud deployments.## **We are a Disability Confident Employer**Capgemini is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 2) under the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.
