Job summary

Leidos Innovations UK Ltd seeks an experienced DevOps/SRE professional to join a fast-moving cloud-focused team in the United Kingdom. You will manage source control with Git, design AWS infrastructure, and implement IaC with Terraform and Ansible, while building robust CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts.

You will work across Linux/Windows, containerisation with Docker, and secure operations including Vault secrets management and IAM policies, ensuring high availability and security

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Red Hat OS administration.
• Cloud experience with AWS/Azure or other providers.
• Red Hat and Windows admin experience.
• Containerised solution experience.
• IAC using Terraform.
• App config using Ansible or Puppet.
• CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins/Azure DevOps/Bamboo.
• Any automation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate experience in managing source code with GIT, including PRs and branching workflows.
• Design and manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, ECR, ECS, VPC, RDS, Load Balancers, Lambda, IAM).
• Familiarity with IaC using Terraform and Ansible for secure, scalable environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and automated testing/deployments.
• Write and maintain scripts in Bash, Python, and PowerShell to automate tasks.
• Containerisation with Docker and config management with Ansible.
• Secrets management with Vault and IAM policies for secure access.
• Understand AWS security best practices (encryption, patching, least privilege).
• Implement backup, recovery, and DR strategies.
