Job summary

RED Global in Basildon, UK is seeking an AWS Data Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines on AWS. This 12-month, onsite contract (5 days/week) offers an ASAP or 4-week start and focuses on enterprise data lakehouse architectures, Python, PySpark, and dbt to deliver analytics-ready data products.

You will collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to ensure data governance, quality, and cost efficiency, enabling analytics and AI workloads across the platform.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building and supporting AWS Data Lakehouse solutions.
• Proficient with AWS services (S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift, Lake Formation, EventBridge, Step Functions).
• Advanced Python and SQL skills.
• Strong experience with PySpark and large-scale data processing.
• Hands-on experience with modern data transformation frameworks (dbt).
• Data modelling experience (Kimball, Data Vault, Inmon).
• Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, security, and best practices.
