Prolific North, the leading news and events platform for the creative, marketing, and tech sectors in the North, is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and customer-focused individual to join our operations team as an Awards Programme Success Lead. This is a crucial role focused on driving the growth and success of our prestigious awards programmes: Champions, Creative, Marketing & Tech Awards.

About Prolific North:

We deliver high-quality news, research, and live events, including our highly anticipated annual awards galas, which bring together the best and brightest in the region.

The Role: Awards Programme Success Lead

As our Awards Programme Success Lead, you will be instrumental in expanding the reach and impact of our awards programmes. You will be responsible for managing and enhancing our customer data, proactively engaging with prospective entrants, and providing essential customer support throughout the awards process, including platform guidance and category selection assistance.

What does the role look like on a daily basis?

  • Data Management:
  • Review, clean, and update our existing customer database.
  • Identify and add new prospective entrants to our CRM.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions.
  • Conduct outbound calls to inform prospective entrants about upcoming award deadlines and ticketing sales periods.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential entrants.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition of our awards programmes.
  • Qualify leads and report on progress.
  • Customer Support:
  • Provide comprehensive customer support to entrants, addressing enquiries regarding platform usage, category selection, and entry requirements.
  • Guide entrants through the awards submission process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Troubleshoot any platform related issues that the customer may encounter.
  • Work closely with the events and commercial teams to achieve sales targets.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Report on activities and progress to the event manager or managing director.
  • Assist with other operational duties as needed.

What are we looking for?

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence on the phone.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and other digital tools.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of the marketing, tech and creative industries in the north is beneficial.
  • Experience in customer support or a similar role is highly desirable.

  • Prolific mindset: We are productive, creative, and resourceful as we work in a fast-paced media environment.
  • Strength of character: We value integrity, honesty, and open communication.
  • Can-do attitude: We foster a positive and supportive work environment.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience) between 20-25k per annum.
  • Bonus scheme related to targets.
  • Early end-of-year shutdown (approximately 2 weeks).
  • Flexible working arrangements: a mix of office-based (Mondays and Thursdays in Manchester) and remote working.
