Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking a Security Automation Engineer for Security Architecture & Engineering to strengthen the Bank's global IT platform and help deliver secure, automated operations.

The role focuses on designing, developing and implementing automation to mitigate security risks, integrating security into pipelines, and managing policy as code, collaborating with ITSD and infrastructure teams to enable reliable and scalable security across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Information Security principles, including network, infrastructure and endpoint security.
• Experience operating security controls across a variety of domains.
• Proficiency in scripting technologies for task automation such as PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of Policy as Code concepts to drive automation and efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement security automation solutions to mitigate security risks and improve existing system interactions across product and infrastructure teams.
• Design and integrate security solutions into new and existing pipelines across the business.
• Manage security policy through automation and Infrastructure/Policy as code.
