Job summary

Everest Global Services, Inc. is seeking an AVP of Risk to lead regulatory capital modelling and capital insights across Group, US, and Bermuda entities.

The role reports to the Financial Risk team and collaborates with Risk Management, Finance, Actuarial and Investments to align regulatory and economic capital frameworks. The position supports BSCR reviews, capital optimization, and governance, with interaction across multiple jurisdictions including Bermuda, London, and New York.

Qualifications

• Near-qualified or fully qualified actuary preferred.
• 10+ years of actuarial experience in P&C (re)insurance.
• 5+ years of Bermuda regulatory capital calculations experience.
• Familiarity with Solvency II, US RBC, ICS and ORSA frameworks.
• Experience interacting with regulators or auditors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review BSCR calculations for Group and US entities to support challenge of the first line.
• Maintain and enhance BSCR calculation tools (Excel, actuarial software, internal models).
• Implement Bermuda regulatory rules into processes and modelling solutions.
• Analyse changes in regulatory capital and BSCR ratio over time across underwriting, reserving, market, credit, and operations.
