Job summary

Sompo is seeking an AVP, Claims Operations Analyst - Reinsurance to strengthen the Global Reinsurance Claims function in London. This role blends claims operations oversight with governance, analytics, and vendor performance management to drive excellence across the portfolio.

You will lead reporting, monitor controls, support audits, collaborate with Finance, Risk and Tech, and develop MI using Excel, Power BI and SQL. Strong English and deep reinsurance experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant relevant claims experience, ideally in insurance or reinsurance.
• Strong experience in Specialty reinsurance claims handling (non-proportional).
• Experience in claims operations, governance, controls and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workflows, service standards and documentation across Global Reinsurance Claims.
• Monitor controls, SOX activities, audits, and remediation tracking.
• Oversee third‑party providers: SLAs, KPIs, reporting and governance.
• Develop MI, dashboards, KPI reporting and data-led insights on claims operations.
• Identify process gaps and risks, champion practical improvements.
• Collaborate with Claims, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Data and Technology.
