Job summary

SMBC Group in the United Kingdom seeks an Assistant Vice President for the Credit Planning & Portfolio Intelligence team to join our London-based team. You will lead data and reporting, transformation and risk intelligence efforts, delivering portfolio analytics and actionable insights.

The role offers a salary range of £60,000–£90,000 with potential discretionary incentives and a competitive benefits package, including pension provision, in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in Risk Management, Credit Risk, Portfolio Analytics, Business Management, Finance or Data Analytics.
• Experience producing management information and analytical reporting.
• Experience supporting projects or process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Risk Intelligence Analysis, Early Warning Analytics and Portfolio Analytics.
• Develop and enhance early warning indicators and quantitative risk signals.
• Build forward-looking financial projection and deterioration analysis.
• Support stress testing methodology, scenario analysis and production.
• Support credit cost forecasting and portfolio risk quantification.
• Conduct deep-dive credit and portfolio risk analysis in collaboration with Lead VP and the team.
