Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a Software Engineer for a 12-month contract based on-site at Warton, Preston. You will join an engineering team responsible for developing, integrating and testing a life-cycle testing platform, including MaTE software and related tools such as DTVR.

Key experience includes C#, C++, or Ada development, simulations and aircraft software, and strong SDLC knowledge. Occasional off-site support may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience of software development activities and SDLC
• Experience developing simulations and/or aircraft software; familiarity with test tools
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and standards

Responsibilities

• Development, testing and release of aircraft software simulations and software testing tools
• Development, integration, test and release of MaTE related products such as DTVR
• Development, integration, test and release of the MaTE Software
• Review and analysis of suitable toolsets and methodologies
• Configuration and Version Control
• Managing budgets and schedules
• Working closely with suppliers and key stakeholders
• Update of design specifications
