Job summary

Nova Systems is seeking an Avionics Production Technician at our Corsham facility to produce high-quality avionic wiring harnesses and cable assemblies in compliance with UK CAA Part 21G regulations, supporting aerospace production and maintenance.

You will work under the Avionics Supervisor, applying rigorous attention to detail, strong communication with staff and suppliers, and autonomy to deliver tasks on time while contributing to the team’s reliability and growth.

Qualifications

  • Good technical understanding supported by a technical degree, HNC or equivalent aerospace experience, or IPC-WHMA-620 CIS/CIT.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace regulations and practices for aerospace production and maintenance.
  • Understanding of civil regulations pertaining to aircraft parts and aerospace materials.
  • Ability to present open, honest, and constructive communication with staff and suppliers.
  • High emotional intelligence and concise verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Rigorous attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
  • Autonomy with timely task delivery under pressure.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK with eligibility for security clearance if required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production and supplier performance meet compliance and contractual obligations under UK CAA Part 21G.
  • Provide professional, efficient, organised and flexible support to the Avionics Supervisor and management team.

As Avionics Production Technician you will beresponsible for the production of high-quality avionic aerospace wiring harnesses and cable assemblies at our production facility in Corsham, under UK CAA Part 21G regulations and to ensure the production and supplier performance meet compliance and contractual obligations.

Accountable to the Avionics Supervisor - Rhys Sargent y ou will provide professional, efficient, organised, and flexible support to the Nova Systems Integrated Solutions leadership and management team, providing quality and timely support to team members across the business. Accordingly, you play an integral part in achieving longer‑term profit and growth for the business.

Good technical understanding supported by a relevant technical degree, HNC or equivalent aerospace experience, or IPC-WHMA-620 CIS/CIT.

Strong and demonstrated understanding of aerospace regulations and practices for aerospace production and maintenance.

An understanding of civil regulations pertaining to aircraft parts and aerospace materials.

Ability to present open, honest, and constructive communication with staff and suppliers.

High emotional intelligence, concise verbal and written communication skills and effective questioning/listening skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Rigorous attention to detail and procedures.

Ability to demonstrate innovative and ethical thinking in the application of solutions.

Ability to deliver tasks on time and with a high degree of autonomy and accuracy, whilst maintaining momentum under pressure.

Demonstrates a commitment to personal and professional development.

Eligibility to work in the UK with eligibility for security clearance if required.

UK Drivers Licence

Experience working within the aviation environment, specifically in the areas of production and maintenance.

Understanding and experience of working in the aerospace regulated environment.

Advanced IT literacy and be fully competent with full suite of Microsoft Office tools and industry standard planning tools.

Previous experience as a Quality Inspector in an aerospace environment.
