Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking an Avionic Systems Engineer to drive the design, development and qualification of avionics for helicopter platforms. You will work across customer requirements and collaborate with external suppliers to ensure compliant equipment and successful testing.

The role offers hybrid working in Yeovil with a strong focus on lifecycle engineering, risk-based design and safeguarding safety-critical aviation standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronics/Aeronautical engineering or equivalent.
• Proven avionics development background in aerospace (civil or military).
• Strong knowledge of avionics design, development, integration and qualification.

Responsibilities

• Define, instigate and execute activities to design, develop and qualify avionic systems.
• Derive system level requirements with customers.
• Manage external suppliers to deliver compliant equipment.
• Work with systems integration and test to prove and qualify avionics.
