Qualifications

  • Experience of working in Aviation Parts environment desirable.
  • Full Driving licence is essential & Forklift licence desired.
  • Experience of working in time-critical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily MHE safety checks.
  • Carry out tasks including picking, checking, and loading.
  • Operate Warehouse Management Systems as per instructions.

Skills

Good English language & communication skills
Good standard of numeracy

Job description

A great opportunity to join the Kuehne+Nagel team at the beautiful Gulfstream site in Farnborough.

Your Role
4 days on/4 days off - 6.30 to 18.30 -The purpose of this role is to ensure that products are processed and handled correctly throughout the hangar stores environment utilising MHE, manual handling and the appropriate computer systems to achieve and fulfil customer requirements efficiently, accurately, safely and in line with all regulatory requirements
Your Responsibilities
  • Complete the daily MHE safety checks (where applicable)
  • Carry out assigned tasks including: picking, checking, loading & unloading of vehicles, hygiene, housekeeping, MHE duties and the processing of returns
  • Packing and shipping as appropriate (according to training and task specific addendum) or working towards competence in this area
  • Goods receiving inspection as appropriate (according to training and task specific addendum) or working towards competence in this area
  • Carry out assigned administrative tasks including but not limited to: allocation of orders and the booking in and out of stock
  • Operate Warehouse Management Systems (Corridor) in accordance with task based work instructions and SOP’s and carry out other assigned computer based tasks as required
  • Actively contribute towards continuous improvement projects and ideas
  • Operate to trained work instructions e.g. ABC Modules/ WI and SSow
  • Adhere to company standards as detailed in the Code of Conduct Policy
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Good English language & communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Good standard of numeracy
  • Experience of working in Aviation Parts environment desirable (either maintenance, MRO, or accredited parts supplier)
  • Or transferable experience of working in high quality or compliance environment
  • Experience of working in time critical environments-Understanding of warehouse practises e.g. picking, packing & loading
  • Working knowledge of computerised inventory procedures to include experience in material services, inventory control
  • PC literate
  • Understanding of warehouse practises e.g. picking, packing & loading
  • Customer service experience
  • Full Driving licence is essential & Forklift licence desired, (training will be provided)
