Job summary

gategroup is seeking an Aviation Security Manager to lead a 30+ person team and own security across the site, including policies, screening, audits and regulatory relationships.

You will drive compliance with DfT and CAA, host inspections, coordinate risk assessments and investigations, and develop the security team to stay ahead in a high-stakes environment.

• X-ray screening experience in aviation is essential.
• Proven management experience in aviation security.
• Strong knowledge of regulations and compliance.

Aviation Security Manager Leads a team of 30+ Full-time

Aviation security is a world where the small print matters and the stakes are high. We're after someone who thrives there, keeping a regulated operation compliant, sharp and one step ahead.

You'll own aviation security across the site: the policies, the screening, the audits, the incidents, and the relationships with the people who regulate us. You'll lead around 8 supervisors and a wider team of about 30.

What you\'ll do

• Keep us compliant with DfT, CAA and customer requirements
• Host CAA inspections and fix the root cause when audits flag something
• Oversee screening of staff, vehicles and in-flight supplies
• Run risk assessments, audits and incident investigations
• Manage, develop and get the best from the security team

Must have

• Hands-on X-ray screening experience in aviation (essential — it\'s a complex area)
• Proven aviation security management experience
• Strong grasp of the regulations and compliance

Nice to have

• In-Flight Supplies (IFS) experience — or strong aviation security knowledge in other disciplines
• An existing relationship with the CAA or DfT
