Job summary

Menzies Aviation at Gatwick Airport is seeking an aircraft refuelling operative to support operations across shifts. You will attend and refuel passenger aircraft by tanker/bowser, perform quality checks and data recording, and liaise with Allocators and Supervisors to meet service level agreements.

The role requires strict adherence to Airport health and safety, security and compliance protocols, a valid LGV C+E driving license, and strong numeracy and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driving license with LGV C+E.
• High standard of numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good team working skills with flexibility.
• Aircraft refuelling experience desirable but training will be provided.
• Must have a checkable five-year employment or educational history.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; adaptable and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Attend and refuel aircraft by tanker/bowser as directed by Allocators/Supervisor/ Daily Worksheet.
• Operate in line with Airport, Health & Safety, HM Customs, Security, MA ASIG procedures.
• Operate onboard aircraft switches per ASIG/Airline procedure.
• Record data manually and/or by computer.
• Carry out vehicle quality-control checks and report any defects.
• Ensure vehicles are serviced with diesel/gas oil and lubricants.
• Maintain radio/telephone contact for flight information and communications.
• Report incidents and provide required reports.
• Perform other tasks as directed by Supervisor or regional manager.
