Optime Group is recruiting Recycling Operatives for a vacancy at Gatwick Airport in partnership with DHL. The role features a 4-on/4-off shift pattern, 06:00–18:00, weekly pay and generous conditions.

The position involves heavy lifting, sorting recyclables, and operating handling equipment within a safety-focused team environment. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and pass a CRC check.

Qualifications

• Good attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Five year fully checkable reference history.
• Ability to pass Criminal Record Check (CRC).

Responsibilities

• Heavy lifting up to 32 kg.
• Sort recyclables and check correct materials are out.
• Operate machinery to lift and sort items.
• Inspect materials for contamination.
• Work well within a large team environment.
• Operate Mechanical Handling Equipment.
• Follow work procedures and safety rules.
• Read, understand and follow directions/instructions.
• Adhere to procedures, rules and schedules.
