Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced NEC Project Manager to lead delivery of complex infrastructure projects within the Gateway Infrastructure team (Aviation & Ports). You will manage NEC contracts, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with NEC principles while embedding best practice across the team.

You will engage with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders, focusing on cost control, schedule adherence, and risk

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
• Professional membership with APM, ICE, RICS, CIArb, or similar.
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects under NEC3/NEC4 and NEC processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as the NEC Project Manager on behalf of clients administering NEC contracts.
• Lead internal multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Manage Early Warning and Compensation Event processes.
• Review contractor programmes, progress reports, and submissions.
• Monitor cost, programme, quality, and risk objectives.
• Advise clients on contractual matters and delivery risks.
• Support procurement, contract award, and mobilisation.
• Promote best practice NEC contract management and collaborative delivery.
• Support business development and client relationship growth.
