Job summary

SYOS Aerospace is expanding production in Fareham and seeks experienced Aviation Mechanical Technicians to join the team. You will work hands-on in building, testing and deploying next-generation uncrewed aircraft alongside engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities include mechanical assembly, fitting, integration, reading drawings, troubleshooting and ensuring high quality, safety and workmanship as part of a cross-disciplinary crew.

Qualifications

• Experience as Aircraft Fitter or Aviation Technician or similar role.
• Experience in aviation, aerospace, defence, automotive, marine or another regulated engineering environment is desirable.
• Strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly, fit-out and integration of components.
• Install components to drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Build, modify, inspect and rectify aircraft as required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during build and testing.
• Support ground testing and aircraft preparation.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and workmanship.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, avionics and engineering teams.
