Job summary

Babcock International in Holyhead (RAF Valley) is hiring a Mechanical Technician to perform maintenance, repairs and diagnostics on aircraft and components. You’ll work with a skilled engineering team ensuring safety, reliability and readiness for operational service.

The role is full-time, 37.5 hours weekly, onsite with specific shift patterns. Security clearance is required and opportunities span defence and aerospace engineering.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable engineering knowledge and practical mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing and maintaining engineering equipment or systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively across teams and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs and modifications on aircraft and components.
• Diagnosing faults and performing corrective actions to restore performance.
• Reviewing system performance and recommending improvements.
• Maintaining compliance with procedures, tooling controls and quality standards.
• Supporting safe and timely delivery of maintenance activities.
