Job summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician at RAF Valley, Holyhead, Anglesey to support military aviation operations by carrying out maintenance, repair and diagnostics on aircraft and components. You will work within a skilled engineering team to ensure aircraft remain safe and ready for operational service.

The role is full-time, on-site at RAF Valley with a 37.5 hour week and specific shift patterns. Applicants must have an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent military qualification and

Qualifications

• Demonstrable engineering knowledge and practical mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience applying technical skills to diagnose, repair and maintain engineering equipment or systems.
• Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and communicate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Conducting scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs and modifications on aircraft and aircraft components.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective corrective actions to restore equipment performance.
• Reviewing aircraft component and system performance to identify issues and recommend improvements.
• Maintaining compliance with maintenance procedures, tooling controls and quality standards.
• Supporting the safe and timely delivery of maintenance activities, escalating issues where required.
