Job summary

British Airways Apprenticeship at London Heathrow offers a two-year Aircraft Mechanic programme. You will learn alongside skilled engineers, perform servicing and maintenance on aircraft and components, and work across fleets with hands-on training and study toward essential qualifications.

The scheme begins in Autumn 2027 with Heathrow induction, a strong safety focus, and progression to a final End Point Assessment as part of BA's apprentice network and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• GCSEs in Maths, English and Science desirable but not required.
• Good communication and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside mechanics and engineers performing servicing and maintenance tasks on aircraft or components.
• Receive comprehensive on-the-job training and progress toward Apprenticeship qualifications.
• Contribute to safety and quality standards in a real aviation environment.
