British Airways offers a three-year Aircraft Engineering Technician Apprenticeship at London Heathrow. You’ll work with engineers on real aircraft, split time between on-site and off-site training, and study towards CAA Part-66 Licence Modules.

In years two and three, you return to Heathrow to continue development, with potential placements at other UK bases. Shift patterns begin in year two with 12-hour rotations, days and nights as needed.

Qualifications

• Grade 5 (B) in Maths/Physics or Combined Science GCSE with English at grade 9–4 (A*-C), predicted grades accepted but must be achieved before starting.
• Strong communication, safety awareness, self-motivation and adaptability are essential.

Responsabilités

• Learn and work on real aircraft alongside engineers.
• Complete on-the-job training while studying towards CAA Part-66 Category A Licence Modules.
• Rotate between Heathrow and other UK bases in years 2 and 3; participate in safety training and progress reviews.
