Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a busy workshop, preferably within aviation.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills under pressure.
• Ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a positive workplace culture.
• Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders in airport operations.
• Commitment to safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Proactive mindset with service excellence and continuous improvement.
• City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with diesel and electric vehicles, hydraulics and welding would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the GSE Workshop team to deliver high-quality maintenance in a dynamic airport environment.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of GSE to minimize downtime for airport operations.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulations and safety protocols, promoting aviation safety and a Just Culture.
• Drive operational resilience by optimizing processes and resources in a well-organised workshop.
• Collaborate with airport stakeholders and internal teams to address operational challenges.
• Champion initiatives to improve workshop performance and promote innovation in maintenance practices.
• Provide timely support to relieve peak-time pressures and equipment issues.
