Job summary

Gama Aviation seeks an Engine Technician to join the Kennington team, focusing on the overhaul and repair of piston aero engines. You will work on cylinder refurbishment and manual machining, following approved maintenance data and service bulletins.

The role requires strong mechanical engineering background with aviation or automotive experience, and adherence to safety and quality standards within a busy engineering department.

Qualifications

• Strong general mechanical engineering background, in Aviation or Automotive.
• Good working knowledge of internal combustion engines and components.
• Experience in piston engine restoration/refurbishment.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and repair piston aero engine cylinders.
• Refurbishment and cleaning of cylinders and components.
• Machining and inspection of engine parts and assemblies.
• Follow approved maintenance data and service bulletins.
• Ensure quality and safety standards and timely spares procurement.

Mechanical engineering background
