Job summary

Conference Technologies in London is seeking a Service Technician to maintain, optimise, and support AV, UC, and digital signage systems installed for corporate, government, and retail clients. You will perform scheduled health checks, respond quickly to on-site service calls, and apply practical fault-finding to keep systems reliable and ready to use.

This role requires strong AV product knowledge, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work flexibly across sites with clear client

Qualifications

• Strong fault-finding across AV hardware, software, and networks.
• Solid understanding of IT networking, IP addressing and VLANs.
• Experience with Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Extron, Dante, Teams Rooms.
• Travel to client sites and work independently to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Planned Preventative Maintenance– conduct scheduled visits to check, clean, test, and optimise installed AV systems.
• Fault Prevention– detect and resolve potential issues before downtime and report on system condition.
• Reactive Service Response– attend client sites to restore operation when remote fixes are not possible.
• Technical Fault-Finding– apply systematic troubleshooting across hardware, software, and networking.
• Software and Firmware Updates– apply updates to DSPs and control systems to maintain compatibility.
• Client Communication– explain issues and solutions clearly to clients.
• Service Documentation– complete detailed reports noting parts used and follow-up actions.
• Coordinate with Helpdesk– share findings to ensure accurate logging and knowledge sharing.
• Proactive System Optimisation– fine-tune system settings and verify design-spec compliance.
• Be the Face of CTI– maintain professionalism and positive client relations on site.
