Job summary

Sexy Fish Manchester is looking for an AV Technician to support on-site events, ranging from talks to gala dinners, ensuring smooth delivery of sound and lighting. You will be based on site and assist with day-to-day technical delivery and operation of events.

The role requires strong experience with Lighting and AV equipment in hospitality, a passion for events and technology, and good multitasking and teamwork. You will work closely with the events team to meet AV needs.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in the setup and operation of Lighting and AV equipment in corporate or hospitality environments.
• Passionate about events and technology and keen to progress in event production.
• Knowledge of Avolites Lighting Consoles, Pioneer DJ kit.
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask and be a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Operate sound equipment for events.
• Operate lighting for events.
• Assist events team with AV needs they have.
• Maintain kit to a high standard.
• Liaise with Venue GMs to ensure AV needs are met.
• Ensure all events have adequate tech cover.
• Report expenditure of kit and crew to Group Technical Manager.

As an AV Technician you will be working on a range of events of varying scale. You will be based on site and will assist with the day-to-day technical delivery and operation of different events such as talks, DJ set ups, product launches, charity events, gala dinners and small intimate live performances.

Responsibilities:

• Operation of Sound
• Operation of lights
• Assisting the events team on all AV needs they have
• Maintaining kit to a high standard
• Liaising with Venue GMs that all their AV needs are being met
• Insuring all events have adequate tech cover
• Reporting to the Group Technical Manager on all expenditure of kit and crew
