Role: AV Field Service Engineer

Location: East Midlands (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises a mix of office and home working)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Package: Competitive salary plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid volunteering days a year

Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm Monday – Friday

Role purpose:

The Field Service Engineer plays a vital role in providing SLA commitments to our Service clients. Based in the North of England, they will work with a team of engineers to attend customer premises, assess, and repair faults within SCC Collab agreements.

The role requires a skilled individual capable of fault identification and resolution, equipment servicing, and deciding whether to repair onsite or RMA. Building and maintaining positive client relationships and delivering high-quality customer service are essential.

Flexibility to work outside regular hours and some overtime is required.

This role involves operating within established SLAs and KPIs, whether working independently or as part of a team, to enhance productivity and user satisfaction through efficient onsite service delivery.

Key responsibilities:
  • Attend service calls and maintenance visits, including overseas and out-of-hours work
  • Identify and resolve faults with equipment
  • Conduct meeting room checks to ensure all equipment functions correctly
  • Deliver high-quality service experiences to users and customers
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships
  • Fault finding and resolution of AV/VC issues
  • Provide accurate site surveys for SLAs
  • Update tickets with correct information in real-time
  • Maintain PPE and safety equipment
  • Escalate issues to the Team Manager as needed
  • Provide dynamic risk assessments when required
Skills and experience:
  • Experience in servicing and repairing AV equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Effective communication at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure alone or in a team
  • Willingness to work out of hours if necessary
  • UK Driving License is mandatory
  • Good time management skills
