Job summary

Free-Work UK is seeking an experienced AV Design Engineer to own projects from concept to delivery, working on large-scale installations with strong technical and commercial focus. The role is based in Bolton with three days on-site and a hybrid working option.

You will design complete AV systems, produce documentation, and collaborate with sales, project management, and customers to ensure robust, install-ready solutions. Training, progression, and a pension are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in AV Design or AV Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, DSP and control systems.
• Understanding of signal flow, system integration and AV networking.
• Experience producing technical drawings using Visio or similar software.
• CTS, CTS-D, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Education sector experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design complete AV systems from concept through to delivery.
• Produce schematics, rack layouts, cable schedules, and bills of materials.
• Support pre-sales activities and technical solution development.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure designs are install-ready.
• Support installation and commissioning activities when required.
