Job summary

PropRec Channel is seeking an experienced AV Commissioning Engineer to join our installation team. You will commission integrated AV systems on-site and work with clients, project managers and programmers to deliver high-quality solutions from installation through handover.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, CTS or equivalent certification, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems across corporate and government projects. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in audio-visual installation, commissioning, maintenance and system operation.
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
• AV industry certification or equivalent experience (CTS).
• Experience with Crestron, Extron, QSC and AMX systems.
• Experience on large-scale AV projects and integrated solutions.
• Strong networking knowledge and system commissioning.
• Experience with corporate/government clients.
• Ability to read complex drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Leadership and cross-team coordination.
• Proactive, flexible work style with priority management.
• Commitment to safety PPE and site practices.

Responsibilities

• Represent the business professionally with clients and partners.
• Carry out on-site commissioning, configuration and testing.
• Conduct off-site testing to verify performance.
• Set up, test and commission AV equipment per project specs.
• Diagnose faults and resolve system issues.
• Integrate AV systems into client environments (hardware/software).
• Complete project documentation and commissioning records.
• Collaborate with control programmers and project teams.
• Provide technical guidance to clients and teams.
• Support maintenance, repairs, upgrades after project completion.
• Share knowledge with Sales, Installation, Project Management.
• Ensure installations meet specifications and quality standards.
• Promote best practices and continuous improvement.
• Maintain PPE and tools.
• Collaborate with partners for delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Keep knowledge up-to-date through training.
