Shield AI is seeking a Systems Engineer, Autonomy & Software to tackle challenging projects at the intersection of systems, software, and autonomy for defense applications. The role involves translating customer needs into concrete system requirements and architectures while maintaining deep technical understanding of autonomy capabilities.

Competenze

• BS or MS in a relevant technical field.
• 5+ years in developing or delivering complex software-intensive systems.
• Strong C++ and Python software development and debugging experience.
• Experience with autonomous or robotic systems, including perception, planning, estimation, guidance, navigation, or mission autonomy.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and their application to defense systems.
• Experience developing and managing system and subsystem requirements, including traceability and verification.
• Experience developing system architectures and interface definitions.

• Apply systems engineering to development and integration of autonomous defense systems.
• Translate mission needs into system, software, and autonomy requirements.
• Develop and maintain architectures, functional decompositions, and interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure successful integration.
