Job summary

Shield AI in London is seeking a Field Solutions Engineer to drive technical engagements for Hivemind autonomy. You’ll translate customer needs into credible solution concepts and support discovery, briefings, and demonstrations across Europe, the UK, NATO markets, and allied regions.

You will build technical narratives, deliver capability briefs, and work with product and engineering teams to align roadmaps with customer priorities, maintaining strong product truth and regional awareness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in solutions engineering, field applications, or related customer-facing roles in defense tech.
• Strong understanding of autonomy, AI-enabled systems, mission software, and unmanned systems.
• Experience supporting international defense, security, aerospace or government customers.
• Ability to translate customer needs into credible solution concepts and feedback.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to technical and leadership audiences.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work from London, UK.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer-facing technical expert for Hivemind autonomy solutions across EURAF.
• Support discovery, briefings, demonstrations, RFIs/RFPs, and technical capture activities.
• Translate customer needs into feasible Hivemind solution concepts and product feedback.
• Develop sales assets: briefs, demo scripts, white papers, and briefing materials.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Program teams to reflect customer requirements.
• Educate customers on autonomy capabilities, limitations, and roadmap timing.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and travel for engagements.
