Job summary

Magnus Search Ltd. in London is seeking a hands-on Vehicle Technician to maintain, diagnose and repair a fleet of VW and Ford diesel vehicles.

As the first dedicated technician, you will shape how maintenance is handled, work autonomously, and develop EV skills as the fleet expands. This full-time role offers Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, with a salary of £45,000–£55,000 DOE and a chance to make a real impact.

Qualifications

• Solid background in vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and repair.
• Able to work independently and make technical decisions.
• Experience across different vehicles or fleet types.
• Willingness to develop EV skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing faults and carrying out vehicle repairs on-site.
• Maintaining and supporting a fleet of VW and Ford vehicles.
• Taking ownership from initial assessment to resolution.
• Prioritising repairs to minimise downtime.
• Working with the depot team while staying hands-on.
• Developing the vehicle maintenance function as the business grows.
• Upskilling in EV technology as EVs are introduced.
• Providing flexibility during working hours when issues arise.
