Job summary

Terry Soot Management Group (TSMG) is seeking a Bertha Certified Test Operator to support our autonomous vehicle projects. The Bertha certification indicates a high level of competence in real-world vehicle testing, system awareness, and public interaction—critical for gathering meaningful data and maintaining a safe AV experience.

You will operate and monitor autonomous vehicles, log anomalies, and engage with ride-hailing passengers.

Qualifications

• Bertha Certification for Autonomous Vehicle Testing is required.
• Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean record and 3+ years experience.
• Must be 21 years or older and comfortable using digital reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor autonomous vehicles with focus on safety and system performance.
• Provide real-time observations and log anomalies using dedicated software tools.
• Engage with ride-hailing passengers as part of the AV experience.
• Execute route testing in city and highway environments.
• Ensure compliance with Bertha certification protocols and data integrity standards.
• Generate comprehensive test reports and collaborate with engineering teams.
• Work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Role Overview
