Job summary

Verne is seeking an AV Operator to safely operate prototype autonomous vehicles during testing and deployment. You will ensure data is securely transferred to cloud storage, comply with GDPR, and perform safety analyses.

You will diagnose issues in the field, develop tools to improve test workflows, and collaborate with AD technology partners. A clean driving license and English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Requires clean and valid driving license and ability to operate safety-critical systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in testing environments.
• Willingness to learn new automotive and testing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Operate prototype autonomous vehicles to support AD activities (data collection, testing).
• Manage data transfer from test drives to secure cloud storage with GDPR compliance.
• Conduct vehicle safety and risk assessments.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and trace system issues to root causes in the field.
• Develop tools and methods to enhance test execution, data analysis, and reporting workflows.
• Support integration, calibration, and testing of automotive components (LiDAR, radar, cameras, GPS).
• Collaborate with AD technology partners to ensure system performance.
• Assist in milestone readiness and release activities.
• Provide actionable feedback to engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.
