Job summary

ATA Recruitment is partnering with a Leicestershire-based engineering business to appoint a Senior Project/Contracts Engineer. You will lead design projects post-sales handover, delivering 2D sheet metal drawings and fabrication layouts while coordinating bought-out items such as control panels and seals for ducting and filtration systems.

You will also perform air-flow calculations, manage design changes with clients, and help transition toward 3D design using Fusion as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Proficient in producing 2D sheet metal drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Experience designing bespoke fabricated components.
• Able to manage whole project from design to delivery.
• Strong client relationship skills.
• Capable of meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects after sales handover.
• Carry out customer site inspections and measurements.
• Order bought-out items from suppliers.
• Produce manufacture drawings using AutoCAD; migrate to 3D in the longer term.
• Design ducting, air valves, fans, impellers, panels for filters.
• Calculate air flow, pressure drops, sizing of filters and air volume.
• Maintain client communication through design and delivery.
