Job summary

Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Dietitian to join the Inpatient CAMHS team at the Becton Centre on a 12-month maternity cover secondment. You will provide specialist dietetic assessment, treatment and advice to children and young people with complex mental health needs, working autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and BDA membership required.
• Post-registration CAMHS/mental health experience preferred.
• Experience with paediatric nutrition, dietetic interventions and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Undertake specialist dietetic assessments and develop individualised nutrition plans for children and young people with complex mental health needs.
• Work autonomously to provide expert nutritional advice to patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment plans to support recovery and goals.
• Attend MDT meetings, ward rounds, case conferences and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with CAMHS and partner agencies to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Provide nutrition education, health promotion and psychoeducation to young people, families and carers.
